Learning Julia - a programming language for scientific computing

UCL-ARC will be hosting an Introduction to Julia workshop.

This workshop, aimed at graduate students and other researchers, introduces attendees to the Julia programming language, a modern dynamic programming language. The target audience is learners who have some coding experience and are interested in learning a language specifically designed for scientific computing, which can potentially speed up their workflows.

  • Understand Julia's type system
  • Use the package manager to install packages and create new ones
  • Use an IDE and Pluto to work with Julia
