This webinar, organised by DFF - Deutsches Filminstitut & Filmmuseum // The European Film Gateway, will give an overview of how the tool OpenRefine can be used for enriching and transforming data. The data examples and thematic focus will be on film heritage and filmographic data.

Taking a film collections data export as a starting point, the webinar will explore how OpenRefine can be used to clean and enrich the existing information with the Reconciliation functionality. This process allows to connect and extend one’s own data with public data sources like Wikidata. An outline of the data transformation via templating will complete the overview.
