Release 3.10.0 of pretix

July 17, 2020

Today, we are releasing pretix 3.10.0. This release brings country-specific taxation, event-spanning exports and lots more.

Big thanks go to Andreas Teuber, Frank, Maarten van den Berg, Maico Timmerman, and oocf who contributed to this release. ❤️

pretix 3.10.0 is now available for installation via pip. The new docker images will appear on Docker Hub over the next few hours. All customers of pretix Hosted are already using the new version and do not need to take any action.

Country-specific tax rates

pretix now allows to assign different VAT rates depending on the country the customer is from. Previously, it was only possible to turn taxation on or off entirely based on the country. While this isn't needed for events in most countries, it is needed for online events targeting consumers in the EU, or for shipping goods across EU borders.

Release quota after exit scans

If you're selling day passes for your crowded place, you might be annoyed that you lose out on revenue by not selling tickets again if some ticket holders leave your venue early in the day already. In pretix's last release, we already introduced the option to scan tickets at the event exit. Now, you can go a step further and automatically release new tickets to your online shop once people left, thereby fully utilizing all available space.

Cross-event exports

It is now possible to download exports (like an Excel sheet of all orders or all invocies) not only for individual events, but for all events in your organizer account.
