Mia San Mia attacks the heart of Bavaria - the Oktoberfest. Dirndls and lederhosen, traditional hats, edelweiss or pretzels. So far so good. But even if Bavarian culture seems so transparent, fitting in is really difficult. One question remains: How can a PoC belong in the land of white sausages? Is the dirndl enough? The ability to hold one's liquor? The pop songs that are easy to remember? An immersive dive into the experience of a young black woman in the Free State of Bavaria. The performance deconstructs themes such as belonging, identity, home and creates something new out of it. The fascination with alcohol, sex, racism and Bavaria culminates in a kitschy appropriation.
Performance: Tamira Kalbach, Johanna Lehnert, Isabel Sophia Junker, Lotte Luzie
