Rosy, soft, foamy, glittering and wonderful – Everything kitsch seems to automatically have feminine connotations, because the attributes used to describe kitsch are also used to describe girls. Too much, too loud, exaggerated, but at the same time cute, glittery and pink. How can one question such stereotypical reductions or break out of these attributions? Very simple - in a cozy room with a bathtub. This year's co-production translucent opaque is a performative installation that deals with the social construct of femininity. The nostalgic infatuations reveal an illusion that exhibits distorted memories.
