EXHIBITION Visit tissues of care (wt) (@ Charité, Berlin Mitte!)

In modern biomedicine, algorithms are trained for histopathological interpretation of tissues, allowing for diagnosis and comparison of lung infections in human and nonhuman animals. Organoids (cell tissue cultured micro-organs) are cultured in order to refine, reduce or replace animal testing – known as "3R". As medical sciences grow potential for reestablishing cellular kinships likewise a multiplicity of being, which new imaginaries can arise from algorithms and externalised body tissue? As cyborgs, biotechnological chimeras and cinematic appearances diverse cells invite to reflect on the cultural three R’s –Reciprocity, Relationality and Responsibility–, on the universal right to breath and alternate conceptions of health (developed in collaboration with Charité 3R).
