The exhibition project presents three research based artistic positions, exploring the interface of the biological and the machine, on swarm behaviour, and questioning the traditional concept of "nature". Artist Kaethe Wenzel has created interfaces between life and technology in several of her works on hybrid electronic animals and exoskeletons. So Kanno combines design and computer science with digital art, using robotic systems and in particular swarm robotics. Sofia Crespo works on the representation of artificial life and generative forms of life, especially organic life’s usage of artificial mechanisms.
