Du spielst mit dem Gedanken, ein Bilderbuch zu machen, weißt aber nicht genau, wo du anfangen sollst? In diesem zweitägigen Workshop, geleitet von der kanadischen Illustratorin und Autorin Joelle Gebhardt und der argentinischen Illustratorin Sol de Angelis, tauchen wir in die Welt der Bilderbücher ein und lernen das ABC des Bilderbücher-selber-machens (ohne KI!).

Werkstatt I, 20.09., 15-18 Uhr: Es werden verschiedene Arten von Bilderbüchern vorgestellt und wir werden unsere eigenen kurzen Texte schreiben. In dieser Woche werden nur Stift und Papier benötigt.

Werkstatt II, 04.10., 15-18 Uhr: Am zweiten Termin werden wir uns mit dem Layout des Buches und Illustrationen beschäftigen. Verschiedene Illustrationsstile werden gezeigt und die begonnene Geschichte weiterentwickelt. Es sind keine künstlerischen Vorkenntnisse erforderlich! Einige Kunstmaterialien werden bereitgestellt, aber wer ein bestimmte Materialien einsetzen möchte, sollte diese mitbringen.

Wichtige Hinweise:
- Der Kurs findet auf Englisch und Deutsch statt, bei Bedarf mit spanischer Übersetzung.
- Die Plätze sind auf 15 Personen begrenzt. Wir bitten um verbindliche Teilnahme an beiden Tagen.

Have you been thinking about making a picture book, but aren’t sure where to start? In this course led by picture book illustrators Joelle Gebhardt and Sol de Angelis we will dive into the world of picture books and lay the groundwork for starting our own books (without AI!).

Week 1, 20.09.,15-18h: We will explore different types of picture books and begin drafting our own stories.

Week 2, 04.10.,15-18h: The second week will focus on illustration and adding pictures to text. No prior art experience is required since we will show examples of non-conventional approaches to illustration that don’t require drawing skills or professional equipment.

Important:
- The course will be taught in English and German with Spanish translation available if needed.
- Spots are limited to 15 participants. We would ask that when you sign up you are committed to attending both days.
- Since the course is free, we are only able to provide limited materials. The first week only pen and paper is needed. The second week some basic art materials are provided, but if there is a specific medium you would like to use, we suggest you bring it with you.
