KICK OFF YOUR DOCTORATE EVENT (EN) – In-person event
The Kick-Off Your Doctorate Event is an offering of the Berlin University Alliance and is organized by the Graduate Studies Support Team. Within the framework of the Berlin University Alliance, Freie Universität Berlin, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Technische Universität Berlin, and Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin pursue the goal of improving conditions for early career researchers during the doctoral phase.
Target group: Doctoral candidates from all disciplines of the Berlin University Alliance (FU, HU, TU, Charité) who are in the first six months of their doctorate. Participation is possible only once.
Objective of the event:
The onboarding event offers you the opportunity to network with other doctoral candidates from the Berlin University Alliance and to establish initial contacts. Professional trainers accompany the event with practice-oriented input and provide helpful impulses for a successful start to the doctoral phase. In interactive sessions, you will receive inspiration to strengthen your motivation, improve your self- and project management skills, and confidently navigate the challenges of the doctoral period. In addition, you will receive a concise overview of the wide range of support services and contact points available at the four member institutions.

Participation requirements and costs
Only doctoral candidates who are pursuing their doctorate at a member university of the Berlin University Alliance (Freie Universität Berlin, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Technische Universität Berlin, Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin) and who are in the first six months of their doctoral studies are eligible to participate.
Participation is free of charge.
