When and how to use AI for CorrelAid Volunteering - shaping a value-driven approach
Artificial intelligence (AI) has become ubiquitous, and it’s hard to imagine many fields without it. Just as prevalent, however, is the debate surrounding the use of AI, which couldn’t be more polarized. — Some see AI as a magic bullet, while others strongly warn of its potential negative consequences.
We at CorrelAid are also keeping a close eye on these developments, and our work has changed as a result of these new possibilities. This makes us all the more determined not to be mere passive observers, but to play an active role in shaping the future. Last year, for example, we helped draft and sign the “Code of Conduct | Democratic AI”, which reflects our perspective on the use of AI in line with our values.
During this workshop, we’d like to present the Code of Conduct and discuss, using practical examples, what a values-driven use of AI might look like within the context of the volunteer experience at CorrelAid.
