In general, we tend to make friends with people who are like us or our usual peer group. And a huge hint, if people fit into your new gang, is their look. Wearing the same clothing, using similar gestures, or having a signature style is pretty helpful.
We are sure you will find those people, actually pretty soon!
But there are a lot more interesting characters, with whom you could have amazing talks, great exchange of experiences or knowledge transfer. That’s why we provide you with the opportunity to get out of your comfort zone and meet different people. 🤩 🤯
The idea behind a blind speed friending event is to allow attendees to meet and interact with people they might not otherwise wouldn’t meet. By not knowing who they will be speaking with beforehand, attendees are forced to approach the event with an open mind and be willing to engage with people from all walks of life. This can be a refreshing and enriching experience for those who are looking to expand their social circle or simply meet new people. 👀
Another reason for organizing a blind speed friending event is to remove some of the social barriers that can prevent people from getting to know each other. When we meet someone for the first time, it is natural to make judgments based on appearance, occupation, or other factors. By eliminating this visual element, attendees are more likely to focus on getting to know each other on a deeper level, rather than relying on surface-level assumptions. 🏵️💛
After several “blind dates” with new people the covers will fall, and you can extend your talks with all the interesting people in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere of the location. Some snacks for Swedish fika will be provided.
