Welcome to the City Museum, where you can learn all about the fascinating history of our city, which dates back over 400 years. On Wednesday we will be taking a guided tour of the museum, which will be conducted exclusively in English, thanks to the support of ESN.

Our tour will begin in the lobby, where you will be introduced to our expert guide. They will provide an overview of the museum's exhibits and explain how the museum's collections are organized. From there, we will proceed to the first exhibit, which focuses on the mysterious and wild viking times and then with each higher floor we come closer to the modern times.

Göteborg’s history is rich. One fascinating century is hunted by the next one. You will learn about the city's growth and development over time, including its role in regional trade and commerce, the impact of major historical events, and the evolution of its cultural traditions.

Our guide will be happy to answer any questions you have along the way and provide additional context and insights into the city's past.

Because there is so much to see, you won’t make a tour through the entire museum but with this nice kick-off you are all invited to continue with the tour at any other time.
