Together, they will explore Heathcote’s progressive approach to the treatment of mental illness and Crook’s experiences working as a nurse at the hospital, which she describes as the happiest in her professional career. Following the conversation there will be an opportunity to purchase Crook’s recently published book Heathcote psychiatric hospital in Western Australia 1929-1994: An historical glimpse at nursing.
