The Unbreathing Eye by Isabela Eva Ljubičić
The Unbreathing Eye is a solo performance situated within an ongoing research project of the same name (Oko nedišuće). The work functions as a site for development of movement-based research, as well as a space for sharing this inquiry with an audience. The research engages with gestures of grief, interrogates the binary opposition of alive and dead and observes the fetishization of the young body as a symptom of the fear of death in Western society.
