Jemima Dean - Working Title
This is a (dance) about a girl named Lucky and the unseen labour behind performance. “Lucky” is her alias when she works on the strip, where blue-collar effort meets neon-light glamour. What does it mean to move through spaces both intimate and industrial as a dancer? Voices, gestures and rhythms trace the contours of work often left invisible. A dance about labour, identity and what it takes to walk in these shoes.
