Vielleicht habt ihr es euch sogar zur Aufgabe gemacht, die armen Schäfchen des Westens vor dem Bösen zu schützen. Oder es treibt euch die Aussicht auf Ruhm und Reichtum an, immer wieder euer Leben auf's Spiel zu setzen gegen das, was auf dem nächsten Ausritt lauert. Oder ist es schlicht der Nervenkitzel der Jagd? Das Wissen, dass ihr Dingen und Wesen gegenübertretet, die andere nur für Lagerfeuergeschichten halten?
Was auch immer euch antreibt hat euch und ein paar ähnlich Gesinnte auf die Farm von Heath Crittenden verschlagen, einige Meilen südöstlich der Stadt Heaston Hill im Uinta County, Wyoming. Erst ward ihr nur auf der Suche nach einer warmen Mahlzeit und einer Rast auf eurem Weg nach Heaston Hill. Doch als Heath euch erzählt, dass neben dem Ding, das ständig seine Mastrinder frisst, und den Viehdieben wie der Ghost-Steel-Gang jetzt auch noch einer seiner Farmarbeiter unter mysteriösen Umständen umgebracht wurde, weckt das euren Abenteuergeist...

The salt jungle has hidden many old ruins and forgotten treasures, but now a new rumour is spreading. A literal city of gold has supposedly been found. Even among the enlightened pupulace of the surrounding area, this lead to a gold rush. But there are several problems with this. For one, the danger of the area means that only experienced adventurers even have a chance. Secondly an enchantment around the city ensures that anyone can only ever find the city once, making not just repeat visits, but also guides an impossibility. And lastly, most that have visited the city simply pocketed the riches and fled the country rather return it to the nobles that organised the trip.
This is where you come in: As part of a bet of who can retrieve the biggest treasure, a group of nobles each found an adventurer (you) that is not interested in the riches at all and will dutifully return the gold to them as part of the newest expedition.

One of the local Gobsters (goblin mobster, get it? Uhh, anyway...) One of the local crime bosses, Clever Tony, has devised another one of those treacherous schemes he's known for. However, he will need to hire an elite team of gobbo specialists to pull it off successfully. That's where you enter the picture.
This one-shot may or may not be based on a meme i once saw. Whitout doubt, it does not take itself all too seriously. However, do not let that deceive you; you will need plenty of wit, charm, sneakyness and stabbyness to succeed. (The game is a bit silly, but it should still offer a decent gameplay challange.)
