Dear interested participants,

Did you know that Ilmenau has a long tradition of ceramic production? Now you have the unique opportunity to experience this part of Ilmenau’s history by joining our 3D ceramic printing workshop!

The workshop takes place on three separate dates spread over several days and will guide you step by step from the introduction to the finished ceramic print.

What you will do during the workshop

• work hands-on with a clay 3D printer
• learn traditional ceramic techniques
• meet the members of the Keramik AG of KuKo e.V.
• and most importantly: have fun

After the workshop you will be able to operate the printers independently and create your own ceramic objects – for example a special gift for family or friends.

Content:
Theory, introduction to Cura-Slicer and preparation of machine code for the printers.

Fri, 27 March 2026 (Day 2)
10:00 – 18:00 (1 hour lunch break)

Location:
Keramik AG
Haus L, Max-Planck-Ring 6
Entrance 8c – basement

Content:
Preparing the clay, setting up the machines and starting to print your parts.

Sat, 28 March 2026 (Day 3)
10:00 – 18:00 (1 hour lunch break)

Location:
Keramik AG (same location)

Content:
Finishing your prints.

Notes & Practical Information

Please note:

• Participation requires that you can attend all three workshop days. If you cannot attend all days, please contact the workshop team for an individual solution or arrangement: fablab@tu-ilmenau.de
• The workshop will be held in English.
• Please bring a laptop. If you do not have one, try to borrow one from a friend.
• The workshop includes a participation fee. This must be paid before the workshop and covers the materials used during the workshop.
• The number of participants is limited to 15 places. There will be a waiting list in case one of the registered participants cannot attend.
