Concert 3a | Die Hochstapler
For ten years, Die Hochstapler (The Impostors) have been developing music based on orality that is both improvised and composed. Games, mathematical systems, voice-overs,
alphabets and texts serve as their inspirations. For This Is Just To Say, the quartet has invited three artists working with language in individual ways: radio-play producer Antje Vowinckel, vocal performer Mat Pogo and Neapolitan singer Cristina Vetrone. These seven artists jointly derive structures from language, explore the voice as maximally moldable musical material and play with sound poetry as an expression of interior processes.
