We can’t take our Freedom of Information laws for granted. This session brings together experiences from Germany and Mexico, two countries where recent changes have raised important questions about the future of access to information.

Veza Clute-Simon and Martin Szyszlican will share what has been happening in their respective countries and how civil society has responded. We’ll discuss how organisations can influence reform, build public support for the right to information, and respond when changes threaten existing rights.

There will also be an opportunity for Q&A.
