The law of nature

Hans Leo Bader, Tilo Wesche,
Laura Burgers
Stocktaking and outlook.
Discussion moderator: Uwe Rada

Journalist Uwe Rada has dedicated his latest book to the Spree, including its legal status. Laura Burgers, lawyer and UN "rights of nature expert", is particularly concerned with the rights of the oceans. Local politician Hans Leo Bader has been campaigning for years for the rights of nature to be enshrined in our national constitutions. Philosopher Tilo Wesche has written fundamental books on the connection between property and the rights of nature. Where do we stand with granting nature its own legal personality and what would be the consequences of this? A conversation in German and English.
