Reading: "Grass", Bernhard Kegel
Bernhard Kegel: "Gras" - about nature and about us. Reading and discussion.
The erosion of landscapes changed with the first appearance of grass in the Cretaceous period. In "Gras", biologist, chemist, non-fiction and novelist Bernhard Kegel lets Berlin sink beneath green blades. Green stalks remain green stalks, but there are many of them! The grass pushes up the asphalt, the stones on the pavements and destroys motorways. In his novel "Gras", Bernhard Kegel anticipates themes that he later deals with in a completely different way in his non-fiction book "Mit Pflanzen die Welt retten". He is looking forward to talking about plants in our world after the reading.
