Nature Writing Workshop with Miek Zwamborn
Miek Zwamborn: Hidden connections to the natural world. How can we approach it with wonder and hope?
Workshop and dialogue
German and English, translation and support: Tanya Lieske
Dutch artist and writer Miek Zwamborn curates the creative centre KNOCKvologan on the stormy island of Mull in the west of Scotland. She is coming to Hamburg for the Nature Writing Festival to share her working methods with festival visitors. Her approach: to approach the respective environment with wonder and hope. The island's Atlantic coast, moorland and Celtic rainforest are usually the subject of her work in poetry, letters, drawings, on maps or cooking with native wild plants. We are curious to see what it will be in Hamburg!
The event will take place on level 4 of the new green structure. Regular access is via the Bergpfad (entrance at the turnstile on Feldstraße). There is usually a bag check here, as it is not permitted to take drinking bottles onto the roof garden. The room itself is labelled with a sign.
Alternatively, access is possible via an external lift. This is located on the left-hand side of the building behind the entrance to the Hotel Reverb.
