"Wildhof": Nature Writing im Roman

Eva Strasser
Reading and conversation

"The wood in the forest is wet, it smells of wild boar and moss." Eva Strasser writes novels, screenplays, radio plays and musicals. She grew up in the Black Forest. Her novel "Wildhof" literally flows out of this experience. The smells and sounds of the forest are omnipresent, while the protagonist uncovers a mossy past. The rain, the rustling of the trees, the darkness of a dense forest - all of this is narrative space that the author gives up to walk through while reading. With Strasser, even those who have so far fearfully avoided the darkness of the forest will be able to do so.
