Software Developers' Thursdays - Between guessing and random metrics: software analytics to the rescue!

In the March session of our monthly developers’ meet-up Eduardo Guerra, a researcher at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano, will dive deep into the topic “software analytics.”

Nowadays, several tools provide different metrics for software projects. These metrics can give information about code quality, software architecture, development process, and even your company’s business. However, in several situations, after getting those metrics, nobody knows what exactly to do with them. In this talk, Eduardo Guerra presents "software analytics": a data-driven approach to support decisions and specific actions in a software project. In addition, a lightweight technique will be introduced, which can be applied to support an analytics process in small and medium-sized teams. The session will be rounded off with examples from real projects to illustrate how this technique can be implemented in practice.

Make sure to be on-site for this meet-up as we are not streaming live anymore from our YouTube channel. Our third session of 2023 will be held at the space NOISE. Need guidance in getting around? Have a look here https://bit.ly/3zUDYFy, or ask for it at the Info Desk on the ground floor of the main building.
