[SIDE EVENT] WUD Bolzano - Hallucination interpretation. Designing a Sustainable Future with Ethical AI

World Usability Day 2026

On 12 and 13 November 2026, WUD Bolzano returns, this year around the international theme Designing a Sustainable Future with Ethical AI.

Within this theme we chose our own reading: designing with AI consciously also means learning to look at it for what it is.

Hallucination interpretation.
It is precisely when AI “hallucinates” that the illusion of intelligence breaks. The error becomes a crack through which we can observe how the machine works, bring its limits into focus, and rethink our relationship with it.

Looking at the error, understanding it and interpreting it can turn it into a tool for awareness and, sometimes, into the starting point for new ideas.
