Disinformation and Resilient Democracy: Reporting on Elections in Political
A decisive and fast-moving electoral campaign has begun. Until February 23, journalists journalists face the pressing challenge of reporting on elections shaped by intricate national and global political forces. This event offers a deep dive into the political and communicative currents driving this moment.
From disinformation campaigns to the strategies of far-right messaging strategies, we will analyze the challenges facing our democratic institutions and journalistic reporting. What is at stake? And how can we strengthen the resilience of democracy in a time of global and national uncertainties?
In this panel discussion, researchers Prof. Dr. Jeanette Hofmann, Dr. Clara Keller and Dr. Curd Knüpfer from the Weizenbaum Institute for Digital Research will present current research findings and show concrete solutions for dealing with disinformation and polarization.
The evening will be moderated by Publix director Maria Exner.
