Conference "Shaping tomorrow: Collective efforts for the future of European journalism"

In an era where the journalism landscape is rapidly evolving, the European Press Prize and Publix are collaborating for a dynamic one-day conference dedicated to the future of journalism. Since its establishment 12 years ago, the European Press Prize has helped to counter the effects of a transforming, pressured market and fragile press freedom. Publix opened 6 months ago with the mission of creating a space for civil society oriented journalism in Berlin.

Both organisations are committed to fostering a journalistic environment that strengthens democracy. This event will focus especially on shared challenges for journalists across Europe as well as changing markets and audiences.

The conference’s speaker list features a unique combination of both collaborating partners: the Preparatory Committee, Laureates and other renowned members of the European Press Prize Community as well as representatives of the resident organisations of Publix. With experience in various journalistic fields, and coming from a multitude of European countries, speakers will share their insights, experiences and views on the challenges European journalism is facing right now.

Through interactive sessions, workshops, and constructive dialogue, participants will explore innovative approaches, share insights, and work together to envision a collective way forward.
