IMPORTANT for all, and in particular for those not using Zoom on a regular basis. This is meant for your individual super dupa user experience ... just read and follow the points below ...
1. YOU NEED AN ACCOUNT WITH ZOOM FOR AUTHENTICATION
The free-of-charge version of Zoom account is perfectly fine. Download the app in the relevant store for your computer and install accordingly BEFORE you click on the event link. Anyhow, you will need the app be fully installed as soon as you try to log in. As said, do it before, because log-in and joining our event won't work the way you would like it to work otherwise. Do your own technical check, do everything just in time what's common sense and should it be reasonable have a chat with your organisation's system administrator. They are of great help if you explain your needs. Use your personal/private device instead. #organiseyourself
2. CHOOSE A SILENT PLACE TO BE
Ensure you will not be disturbed, you can join easily, listen and participate actively. We are having an activation check-in before the impulse part. Be prepared to be surprised!
3. FOR THIS EVENT YOU WANT TO USE A COMPUTER WITH CAMERA
Participants will need an own computer with camera for break-out sessions. What does work, what doesn't? Group meetings in front of one computer, sitting or standing in a train/metro/tube they are all just NOT working in this format. We can learn from past sessions and recommend use a computer with camera. One more: Using a Tablet is second best choice. Smartphone is even worse.
4. DO LOG-IN AS RECOMMENDED AND IN TIME
Why? The event Zoom room will be open as indicated in the invitation. The team usually manages it quite well to get everyone on board so we can start sharp. Your log-in before 8am is clearly preferred. Solid time boxing. You know?
5. CHANGE YOUR ZOOM-NAME TO YOUR REAL NAME
Why? This event is for registered participants only. Check your shown name in Zoom before and change it to your real name if not done yet. Our on-boarding team needs to identify you and verify if you are on the list of participants. Thanks for considering.
