"Library Copy: Do Not Remove" by Discovery Zone, an Exclusive 3D Audio Listening Session

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND!

WE HAVE ADDED A SECOND SESSION FROM 17-19H!

On November 23, 2024, the Spatial Media Lab e.V. welcomes spatial audio lovers – and all those eager to become one – to a very special event at our headquarters in Berlin-Weißensee:

In this listening session the piece Library Copy – Do Not Remove by Discovery Zone will be heard, which has only been played publicly once before. Join us on November 23 for the opportunity to listen to this piece in 3D, which only few people have ever experienced.

In this event we will present the 7th order Ambisonic Masterfile, which was specially post-produced and mixed for listening in studios and, eventually, Dolby Atmos via Apple Music.
It will be played back on our 8.1.5 dome of Genelec speakers for a fully immersive experience.
You rarely get an opportunity to hear spatial audio on a setup like this! Come by for an unforgettable evening.

Library Copy – Do Not Remove was originally conceived as a live spatial audio piece and performed on June 27, 2023 as part of the “Live Radiant” series at the Zeiss-Großplanetarium in Berlin. Artist Discovery Zone, who explores themes such as simulation theory, mythology and the holographic universe, will be present at this exclusive listening session to talk about the process of creating this piece and answer questions about the creative process.

To reproduce the atmosphere of the premiere, Discovery Zone has invited Cinema.AV to accompany her music with live video projections. Cinema.AV will play a real-time visual set with an elaborate video synthesizer setup.

Following the listening will be a Q&A/meet-and-greet with the aritsts. Andrew Rahman from Spatial Media Lab, who arranged and mixed the piece in 3D, will also be present and is looking forward to your technical questions about the mixing and spatialization process.

Sodas, beers, and water will be available for purchase. Good vibes are included with the ticket price.

Please review your travel time to the venue, as it can take some time to reach us from certain parts of Berlin. Please take the time into account, so you don't miss anything as late entrance will not be permitted.
