Moving through Crisis & Grief - Anajara Amarante

Grief lives in the body—especially during times of political turmoil, migration, and collective stress. When our communities are under threat, how does it shape our experience? And how can we process this grief without pretending that a single dance class will "fix" it?
Acknowledging the interconnections between loss, climate collapse, and political crisis, we will reflect on how disabled experiences of time and crisis challenge dominant ideas of resistance, inviting practices of care, slowness, and resilience.
We will explore movement—not as choreography, but as a way to release tension, create serotonin, and connect. Shaking, massaging, resting, and listening to the body in different positions (standing, lying down, etc.) will guide us. No previous dance experience is needed. Bring an object that makes you feel safe, as well as paper and pen.
Accessibility: If you have accessibility requirements, please write to me in advance at asanactoflove@gmail.com. I will try to meet them and communicate transparently.

The workshop will be held in spoken English, questions in spoken German are no problem.
