FreelanceDanceEnsembleBerlin (FDEB) together with Zeitgenössischer Tanz Berlin (ZTB) e.V. are hosting two workshops in September. With this weekend, Tanzbüro Berlin is handing over the Berlin satellite format of the nationwide TanzAllianzen network project to key players in the Berlin dance scene. As part of a network funding by the Fonds Darstellende Künste, Tanzbüro Berlin has joined forces with a total of 10 dance offices/dance networks from 10 federal states to form the TanzAllianzen project: Between March and September 2025, the ten partners will carry out satellite formats on site to develop structures and strategies for their respective dance scenes.

How to Organise into Unions and Otherwise (ver.di + FreelanceDanceEnsembleBerlin)
How to organise as freelance dance workers against isolation and individualisation? How can we build collective power to demand fair working conditions, including sick pay, pensions, and social security? This event invites you to join a conversation with Union representatives (ver.di) and fellow freelancers to explore ways of collectivising struggles in the freelance dance scene. We'll ask how union models can support us—and what other forms of self-organisation we need. Together, we’ll share strategies, build solidarity, and imagine sustainable futures for our work. Let’s organise not alone, but alongside one another. Let’s shift the conditions of freelance dance—collectively.
