Theater im Kino e.V.
The Theater in the Cinema, commonly known as tik, has been around since 1960/61. During the 2000s, the theater found its home on the ground floor of a vintage building on Rigaer Straße. Since then, nestled in the vibrant Friedrichshain Kiez, this cozy theater with its roughly 30 seats has carved out a niche as a beloved Berlin off-stage venue.
Offering a mix of theater productions, concert (series), improvisational theater, and comedy shows, tik doesn't stop there. A key mission of the tik e.V. is to promote young talent: the dedicated volunteer team provides support to artists, enabling them to bring their unique visions to life on stage. Additionally, audiences are treated to a variety of guest performances by both national and international troupes. This results in an eclectic and diverse program, infused with local charm and a touch of global perspective, ensuring a rich cultural experience for all.
