Wer kürzt, denkt zu kurz! – Ein Abend in drei Teilen mit Musica inaudita
Musica inaudita is an initiative at the Berlin University of the Arts whose programs include music written by artists who have been ignored by historiography due to their gender, religion, social or national origin, skin color, sexual identity, language, disability or political views and have therefore not found a place in the abbreviated canon of Western art music. Musica inaudita presents an evening with an extensive, cross-genre program in which chamber music, orchestra and punk join hands. We give a stage to resistant composers and musicians and loosen up the fixed structures of classical concert culture. We show that existing diversity cannot be cut!
Music by Dika Newlin, Ethel Smith, Emmy Wegener, Samuel Coleridge-Taylor and others
Helianthus String Trio / Symphonic Orchestra Utopia Berlin / Postmodern Talking
