Google Summer of Code - What is it? How can I take part on it?
Google has been running the Google Summer of Code programme for 20 years, making this one its 21st. This programme is focused on helping Open Source projects to get new contributors, so they can learn about open source while getting paid a good stipend over the summer.
It's an amazing program that I encourage you to take part in it either as a contributor or mentor, it's very gratifying.
The organisations accepted to take part this year have been just announced, and many of us in UCL are involved in this year edition.
Would you like to know more about it? Would you like to have your project there to get people working with you this summer? Would you like to apply and don't know where to start? Join us at this introductory event to meet some of the past and present mentors to get answer to all your questions.
