The centerpiece of the DAVE Festival returns once again: Beyond the Club takes electronic soundscapes and visual art out of the club and into a space rarely associated with nightlife – the Martin Luther Church in Dresden Neustadt. On November 9, the church will become a stage for an immersive audio-visual performance, merging architecture, live music, and visual storytelling into one powerful experience.
At the heart of the evening is Niklas Paschburg, an acclaimed composer, pianist, and producer from Hamburg whose work bridges neoclassical traditions and electronic innovation. His music has been described as ambient pop infused with cinematic depth – a sound where piano, accordion, and synthesizers meet in hybrid form. With celebrated albums such as Oceanic, Svalbard, and Panta Rhei, Paschburg has built a international reputation for creating expansive soundscapes that oscillate between moments of calm reflection and epic intensity. His live performances, equally at home in concert halls, massive festivals, clubs, and sacred spaces, invite audiences into a world of sound that feels both intimate and vast.
Sharing the stage is Andrea Cichecki, a sound artist and composer whose signature style emerges from her self-built modular synthesizers. Her music blends analog warmth, digital textures, and organic noise into immersive, emotional soundscapes. With over 20 years of experience spanning ambient, experimental, and contemporary electronic music, Cichecki has worked across disciplines as a producer, sound engineer, and collaborator with filmmakers and artists. Her latest release, Drawn Into The Edge Effect, demonstrates her talent for crafting music that is at once fragile and powerful, pulling listeners into deeply atmospheric sonic narratives.
The visual dimension will be created live by the visual artists Highpitchedblack, fraensaen and the collective Spektralwelt, whose collaboration transforms architectural space into a living canvas of moving light and imagery. Their work allows the audience to perceive both the music and the church environment in entirely new ways.
Beyond the Club 2025 promises an extraordinary night – a collective journey beyond genres, beyond the familiar, and beyond the club.
