Introduction to Europeana APIs

This course provides an in-depth overview of two of Europeana's most used APIs: the Search & Record APIs, including the differences between them, their features and how you can use them. The course has many interactive elements, including making your own API calls in live time!

After completing this course, you will understand:
- What an API is and what happens when you make an API request
- How to access the Europeana APIs
- What the Search and Record APIs can be used for
- How to use the Search & Record APIs

In this instructor-led training, you will have the opportunity to ask questions to the experts and course developers, Emilija Angelovska and Maike Dulk, including an opportunity to discuss how to apply the APIs to your own specific use case.

Zoom
The training will take place online on Zoom and will not be recorded. You will receive a link a few days before the training.
Just so you know, each training is an intensive and interactive exercise. That is why we ask you to:
- Make sure you are in a quiet spot
- Have Europeana’s Training Platform open
- Have a working camera on the computer as this improves interaction

No show
If, for any reason, you are unable to attend, we kindly ask that you let us know by email as soon as possible, but no later than one day before the training. Your timely notification will help us manage resources and accommodate waitlisted participants.
