How to tell great stories and write for Europeana.eu until

This course explores what storytelling is all about, introduces Europeana's audiences and editorial formats, and helps you create your own culture-inspired galleries and stories.

What you need to know before registering

This course has been expanded and updated for September 2026, so to complete it all, you will need to attend both Part 1 and Part 2. You can order your virtual tickets for the training here and then sign up for the modules in the next page. You may attend one or both of the sessions, but please be aware that to complete the course you will need to work on the remaining modules in your own time.

As the course invites you to create your own galleries and stories, it is useful to come with an idea for a story in mind.

This training is split into two parts, each covering two modules, on two different dates. The timeslots are as follows:

- Part 1 (Modules 1 and 2) - Tuesday 8 September 2026 10:00-13:00 CET

- Part 2 (Modules 3 and 4) - Tuesday 15 September 2026 10:00-13:00 CET

The instructor-led Zoom sessions are designed to be interactive. You will be expected to participate in discussions and share ideas with other participants either in-person (turn your camera and mic on) or in the Zoom chat. Places are limited so please only register if you intend to actively participate.

This course is self-driven (you are responsible for ensuring that you have completed a task before moving on) and you will receive a certificate of completion at the end.
