SoulFood Delight – Over 10 Years of Sound & Soul
2015: “Uptown Funk” by Bruno Mars was the song of the year, FC Bayern Munich won the German football championship – and under the disco ball of a Munich club, a group of passionate a cappella singers gathered at the invitation of Patrick Prestel for a brand-new project. That night marked the birth of SoulFood Delight.

Ten years, countless unforgettable concerts, festival adventures, competitions, and a few gray hairs later, we’re bringing a best-of show to the stage – combining our current program with the audience’s favorite songs from the past decade. Get ready for a musical time-travel experience packed with irresistibly arranged and performed a cappella pop hits – from Justin Timberlake and Ariana Grande to Taylor Swift and Coldplay.

SoulFood Delight concerts have always been – and will always remain – true food for the soul.

About Patrick Prestel
Tenor and vocal percussionist Patrick Prestel spent 15 years as a member of the award-winning rock and jazz choir VoicesInTime, performing across Europe, China, South Korea, and Cuba. During this time, he gained his first experience as a conductor by leading his own vocal arrangements.

With the Chamber Choir of Europe, he performed alongside Bobby McFerrin and Wolf Biermann and appeared at the 2016 Echo Awards. He was also a member of the Bavarian Singing Academy (now the Bavarian State Youth Choir) and the a cappella groups The Quartbreakers and Elevator Pitch.

Patrick was invited to the European Forum for Young Composers of Vocal Music in 2008, 2010, 2012, and 2014. After completing the Pop & Jazz Choir Conducting program at the Federal Academy in Wolfenbüttel, he founded the pop choir SoulFood Delight in 2015 and took over as conductor of Isartonics in 2018.

In 2024, together with his wife Andrea Prestel-Galler, he founded the Ottobronx BeatsClub, home to two children’s choirs and one adult choir. As a commissioned arranger, Patrick works with various choirs and ensembles, with several of his arrangements published by Bosse, Helbling, and Schott. He also leads workshops for choirs and music schools.
