Women Composers Concert: trioW – "Unheard Treasures"
Katharina Wimmer, Violin
Ingrid Wendel, Piano
Stefan Welsch, Violoncello
The trioW goes on a treasure hunt! Their findings are not only masterpieces of composition, but also offer some valuable insights into the lives of women who had one thing in common: they were strong personalities and lived unusual lives - they were composers in a time when this was unusual or even frowned upon for women.
In this concert, the ensemble presents its musical finds in a virtuoso manner and reports on the background of the portrayed works by Dora Péjacevic, Ethel Smyth, Clara Schumann, Amanda Röntgen-Maier, Lili Boulanger, Ethel Smyth und Clara Schumann.
