Hugo Hamlet is a singer, pianist, oboist, songwriter and producer, and also a painter and a trained clown. The son of two ballet dancers, he grew up between Sweden, Australia and England and sang as a boy in the choir of St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle.
For years he recorded every song in several genres and kept each version on a separate hard drive, until he threw them all into the sea in a bag weighted with bricks. Since then, his music fuses everything into one: glossy dance-pop and piano ballads, loud, romantic and playful, with the flamboyance of Boy George never far away. His solo shows feel closer to stand-up than to a classic concert, full of songs, stories and a clown's love of failure.
