Bühne Cipolla

Bühne Cipolla transforms well-known works of world literature into expressive and poetic puppet theatre with live music. Original puppets, expressive masks and fantastic sounds create worlds on stage that exert an irresistible fascination on the audience. The audience experiences an atmospherically dense total work of art as an intensive theatre pleasure for all senses.

Bühne Cipolla performs successfully at festivals, in theatres, town halls and socio-cultural institutions throughout Germany, in Italy (South Tyrol) and Switzerland. Bühne Cipolla was the first puppet theatre ever to give a guest performance at the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg. In 2019 the production The Fall Of The House Of Usher was awarded the renowned Monica Bleibtreu Award. The productions are cooperations with well-known partners such as Theater Duisburg, Metropol Ensemble, bremer shakespeare company, KulturStadtLev / Forum Leverkusen.
