REDHOT – ULTRA DELUXE – A DANCE-GAME PERFORMANCE
How do we allow ourselves to be seduced? When do we follow rules without questioning them? And at what point do we actually believe we are making our own decisions?
REDHOT – Ultra Deluxe combines choreography, game design and performance to create a shared experience in which the boundaries between watching and playing gradually begin to shift.
Drawing on the mechanisms of game design, the piece explores how decisions emerge, how we are guided, and why being guided can sometimes feel surprisingly good. Game mechanics such as levels, player guidance and respawning are not explained or represented—they are made physically tangible and experienced through the body.
We are delighted to celebrate the premiere of REDHOT – Ultra Deluxe at the wonderful Halle 93 in Stuttgart.
