with Alberto Díaz · Wrocław · 27–28 February 2027
Venue: Akademia Akrobatyki Powietrznej, Wrocław

"I am interested in the moment where circus technique stops being only a skill and becomes movement, presence and language."
These workshops combine aerial technique, acrodance and performance tools. Alberto works through body organisation and movement principles, looking for ways to make technical material more available for movement and expression.
Join the whole weekend for the full journey from floor to air, or pick the sessions that speak to you.
Saturday · 27.02
15:00–17:00 · Acrodance (2h)
Ground-based acrobatics approached through dance, exploring weight, momentum, rhythm and the possibilities between stability and instability, with the aim of transferring these sensations into the air.
17:30–19:30 · Dynamic Trapeze (2h)
Using momentum and pathways to connect technical elements into continuous movement. The focus is on economy of movement, timing and the quality of transitions.
Sunday · 28.02
10:00–12:30 · Trapeze Sequences (2h30)
Learning and developing sequences with attention to intention, rhythm and individual movement quality, using technical material as a tool to develop stage presence.
13:00–14:30 · Straps: Alignment & Organization (1h30)
A biomechanical approach to alignment and body organization in motion. We look for ways to reduce unnecessary effort while increasing control, efficiency and availability.
About Alberto
Alberto Díaz is a Chilean circus artist based in Toulouse, France. A graduate of the Centre National des Arts du Cirque (CNAC) and El Circo del Mundo, he works at the crossroads of contemporary circus, dance and physical theatre.
A specialist in dance trapeze and aerial straps, his practice is also shaped by acrodance and his background as a juggler and skater.
As a performer, he has worked with Alice Laloy, Raphaëlle Boitel, Stéphanie Chêne, Christophe Huysman, Alain Veilleux, Camila Osorio Ghigliotto and, most recently, Noé Debré on his latest film.
Alongside his stage work, he develops a teaching practice focused on economy of movement, body organisation, quality of gesture and the dialogue between floor and air.
