Community Farm Hack Wales 2018

Farm Hack Wales and CSA Gathering - October 6th and 7th (pre event 4th and 5th of October)

The Venue: Tyddyn Teg, Tyddyn Berth, Bethel, Caernarfon, Gwynedd LL55 3PS

Community Farm Hack is a skills gathering for us to network and share our knowledge about farming and technology.

We are working towards a sustainable food system using the best ideas and most appropriate tools for the job.

The two main themes are CSAs (Community Supported Agriculture) and appropriate technology in the farming context.

The skill shares and workshops you will find here are:

⚙️ Setting up a CSA

⚙️ DIY open source on farm robot

⚙️ Communicating with customers and building CSA memberships

⚙️ Tool sharpening and reconditioning with tools for self reliance

⚙️ Nursery Management for better horticulture

⚙️ Low impact homesteading being off grid and super healthy

⚙️ CSA for livestock farmers

⚙️ Machinery and tools for small scale producers

⚙️ Wood work tools, carpentry and round wood construction.

We now have our time table ready.

❓If you have any queries please feel free to contact us at: farmhackwales@gmail.com

✅ We have a kids space for our small people

We will have a activities coordinator and a space set up for small humans and young adults so we are a family friendly event. If you have any questions or intend to come with your children please get in touch.

✅What is farm hack and Peer2Peer learning?

Farm Hack is a learning network focusing on appropriate technology for the farming context. We get to learn new skills, see the inventions of our peers and learn what works for them.

We feel farmers and landworkers are a skilled bunch so we want to give the floor to our innovation and curiosity. Peer to Peer learning is simply a way to open the process of learning to be driven by our collective inquisition on the subject not the an assumed expert opinion. We will all be the teachers and we will all be the learners.

In this spirit we need you and your inventions!

✅Do you have a home made tool? Did you fix up your tractor? Do you have a burning question or a passion?
Well put your ideas down, a workshop proposal or a demonstration you want to give and email it to us. We will put you in the time table.

✅Do you want to get a lift or offer a ride to the event? well then...
