AGGREGATE festival 2026 until
For the festival's sixth edition, gamut inc is working with Laurie Spiegel on adaptations of The Expanding Universe, composed on the GROOVE system at Bell Labs and a landmark of electronic music. In exchange with Laurie Spiegel, the ensemble is transcribing her electronic works for the hyperorgan. The first night at Konzerthaus Berlin runs from the very beginnings of computer music to the hyperorgan of today — including electronic musicians Rrose and Efdemin in the duo Sollmann Sprenger with new works and adaptations for organ.
The second day, alongside new works by Mexican composer Mauricio Silva Orendain and a collaboration between cathedral organist Marcel Andreas Ober and electronic musician Benjamin Geyer, Tristan Perich presents his large-scale work Infinity Gradient for organ and 100 speakers at Sankt Hedwigs-Kathedrale with James McVinnie on the organ.
