Since the end of the 60s, Arild Andersen has been one of the best and style-forming musicians on the Norwegian and also European jazz scene. His career began with George Russell and found its first peak in his collaboration with Jan Garbarek.
But Andersen has also released very good albums under his own name, from the quartet in the 70s to the trio that has also existed for several years in recent years. The grandiose bassist comes to Ravensburg with an all-star band: Marius Neset has already been a guest at Jazztime, his saxophone playing overflows with imagination and joy of playing. Helge Lien leads his own piano trio, which has already won all kinds of prizes. Finally, Pål Thowsen belongs to Andersen's generation, and he has been one of the most sought-after drummers in Northern Europe for just as long.
