"We thought in the beginning that the combination of fusion and pop is so unsexy that nobody listens to us anyway" - said Henrik Linder, the bass player of Dirty Loops. Big mistake: The guys have long since ceased to be "Sweden's best-kept secret" and are going viral - no wonder, because their sound is much more than fusion and pop.
Dirty Loops like to cover, for example, Justin Bieber, Adele, Britney Spears or Justin Timberlake. With incredible virtuosity, exploding energy and exuberant joy of playing, they turn well-behaved hits into veritable funk jazz bangers - absolutely danceable to boot. Jonah Nilsson sings even better than Michael Jackson, Linder plays chords and slaps at the same time on his 6-string, and Mellergardh is a precision rocket on the drums - the whole band acts as precisely as Toto and as playfully as Lady Gaga.
Let's ask Quincy Jones: "Dirty Loops are just incredible."
