Ron Minis definitely doesn't care about genre boundaries: At first hearing, his piano trio is deeply rooted in jazz, but a look at the videos shows a completely different side of the pianist from Tel Aviv: Suddenly he has a guitar in front of his belly and blasts out veritable metal riffs!
Actually, it's no wonder, since Ron Minis, who originally had a classical education, was for a long time rather on the road in musical realms between punk, noise and metal. With the same passion as back then he now sits behind the grand piano and creates with his trio a very own sound between pulsating energy and dreamy harmony. This Ron Minis is a musical grab bag - you never know what to expect in the next month ... is perhaps his blue full beard the guarantor for surprises?
