With the revival of the solo "Breathe", Milla Koistinen takes us to a soccer field of the sports facility "Am Rodelbergweg" in Berlin-Treptow. A lone figure in a vast, empty field, she reconstructs images of communal celebrations and ecstatic experiences, evoking the memory and sensation of the crowd. With sound by composers Paul Valikoski and Grégoire Simon and fabric objects by visual artist Sandra E. Blatterer, “Breathe” collapses the distance between dispersed bodies and opens up a space for shared emotion. How can witnessing something from afar gradually become something we are closely part of?
