"Open Studio: Stage" is a format through which Sasha Waltz & Guests aims to give space and a platform to the creative potential of Berlin’s dance scene. Once a month, on a Saturday evening, we invite performing artists from the fields of dance, performance, music, etc., to present an improvisation, a work-in-progress, or a short piece (max. 10 minutes) in front of an audience. Each edition ends with a short group improvisation featuring all participating artists. A feedback session between the participants and the audience takes place at the end.

Participating as a performer:
Your performance can be improvised and spontaneous, but you are also welcome to present an ongoing research or a short piece in any constellation – solo or group. There is no additional lighting, and music can be played via phone or laptop connected to the speakers. If you bring props, please make sure they can be quickly and easily removed to make room for the next act.

Applications for a slot are welcome at any time via a short description and a CV sent to laszlo@sashawaltz.de. Group and duet applications are also welcome.
